Winter is in full force, with blustery, snowy days that make you want to curl up with a warm blanket. Support local while you cozy up this winter with these seasonally perfect drinks from Fishers businesses. Pick them up to go and savor the season from the comfort of home.
The Well Coffeehouse
A Chai Tea Latte is my winter go-to. Spicy and warm, it’s the perfect drink for those chilly days. The Well Coffeehouse in Fishers’ downtown Nickel Plate District makes one of the best Chai Tea Lattes around. I’m a big fan of the iced version in the warmer months as well! The Well also has a fantastic seasonal menu, which currently includes specials like the Spicy Snowman (latte with white chocolate and spicy cinnamon), Black Bear (latte with blackberry and cardamom), and the Mulled Fashioned (espresso with homemade mulled cider). The Well offers online ordering and curbside pickup.
MashCraft Brewing
Located in West Fishers off Allisonville Road, MashCraft Brewing is one of my favorite local spots. Their Jamaica Joe beer, one of their year-round specialties, pairs perfectly with those snowy winter days. I love the rich coffee notes and smoothness of this red ale infused with coffee from Strange Brew in Greenwood. It seems like MashCraft always has something new on tap, like their monthly rotation of a new pepper-infused beer, sure to warm you up on the coldest of days. This month they also debuted a new Orange Julius-inspired brew called Knock Knock. This creamy beer is packed with oranges, bananas, and pineapple and will have you dreaming of warmer days. Grab your growler—MashCraft offers carryout and curbside pickup.
Gallery 116
Gallery 116, located in the heart of downtown Fishers, is a boutique offering a unique selection of locally made goods, gift items, and clothing. With their Camp Craft Cocktail Kits you can enjoy a beautiful and unique cocktail at home. Pick up a seasonal kit like the Sweater Weather or the Hot Toddy, or check out Gallery 116 owner Tracy Gritter’s personal favorite, The Bloody Mary. The infusion kits offer all the mix-ins for a delicious, beautiful cocktail—just add your favorite alcohol. Gallery 116 offers online ordering and curbside pickup.
Healthies Fishers
The smoothies at Healthies Fishers may be cold, but there are so many delicious seasonal flavors for winter that you won’t even mind the chill. Low in calories and packed with protein, these meal replacement smoothies will give you the fuel you need to conquer your day. Some of their most popular flavors that complement the season are White Chocolate Twix, Cinnamon Roll, Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, and Salted Caramel Mocha. Healthies regularly offers seasonal pop-up specials as well (recently, it was their Deep Friend Oreo and Cherry Toaster Strudel) so be sure to follow their Facebook page to stay update on their latest offerings. All smoothies are available for carryout.
Peace Water Winery
Curl up by the fire with a bottle of wine from Peace Water Winery at the Yard at Fishers District. Their Passion Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect wine for the season, a robust red with expressions of black cherry, black currant, caramel, and hints of sage. This wine isn’t only delicious, it’s award winning. The 2016 Passion was named Best of Class at the largest independent wine competition in the nation. Peace Water Winery offers online ordering with local pickup or shipping.
