Fourth of July Fireworks
Celebrate Independence Day with fireworks around the city on Monday, July 4 at approximately 10 p.m.
- Nickel Plate District: View this show throughout downtown and the Nickel Plate District! Fireworks will be launched from Holland Park, which will be closed for safety. Be sure to arrive early to catch Fool House on the NPD AMP stage starting at 7 p.m.!
- Cyntheanne Park: View this firework show from the Cyntheanne Park or HSE Intermediate/Jr. High parking lots! Fireworks will be launched from Cyntheanne Park. NOTE: There is no viewing or fireworks launching from Geist Waterfront Park.
- Geist Reservoir: View this firework show on the water! While no viewing will be permitted from Fall Creek Bridge or Geist Marina, find a great spot on the water in a boat or from a nearby residence. Fireworks will be launched near the south end of the Fall Creek Bridge, from a barge in Geist Marina. The bridge will be open to traffic, but the pedestrian walkway on the bridge will be closed for safety. Learn more.

Before the Bell
Mark your calendars for July 30, 2022. HSE Schools will be hosting its first-ever Before the Bell Celebration in partnership with HSE Schools. This new event to ring in the start of the school year will be held at the Fishers Nickel Plate District AMP from 4 to 7 p.m. All schools will be in attendance, along with some of our area partners. Join Fishers Health Department, Community Health Network, and Fishers Parks for July’s Walk About Health monthly series with health specialists at parks across the city. This month’s topic is Sports Nutrition & Pre-Game Meals on Tuesday, July 26 at 9 a.m. at Flat Fork Creek Park, hosted by Heather Fink, MS, RD, LD, CSSD, CLT – Community Health Network, Sports Dietician. Monsoon Madness
Beat the heat as Holland Park transforms into a free pop-up water park on Saturday, July 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This popular summer event features giant waterslides, a mini-monsoon area for little ones, live entertainment, and more! Find details at playfishers.com.
Fishers Farmers Market
The Fishers Farmers Market, presented by IU Health Fishers, is back every Saturday at the NPD AMP from 8 a.m. to noon. The market showcases vendors from Central Indiana that offer fresh produce, baked goods, honey, specialty food items, meats, coffee, plants, and more.
On July 9, don’t miss Biz Kidz Day at the Fishers Farmers Market, which gives young entrepreneurs ages 5 through 17 the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial skills by running their own business for a day! As Market vendors for the day and participants in this annual festival, kids will be selling products that are handmade, hand-grown, hand-crafted, or hand-produced.
New this year, you can shop the market twice a week! The Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony, presented by IU Health Fishers, takes place every Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. through September 28. Learn more at playfishers.com/FarmersMarket.
Summer Concerts at the NPD AMP
The free concert series includes performances at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater on Tuesday evenings starting on June 7, presented by IU Health Fishers, and Wednesday lunchtime concerts on Central Green starting on June 1, presented by Meyer Najem. The summer lineup also includes ticketed Friday night shows in partnership with MOKB Presents from the following national touring bands:
- July 16 – Colony House with Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers
- August 5 – Waxahatchee with Liam Kazar
- August 19 – The Main Squeeze (with special guests TBA)

Explore the Nickel Plate Trail
The downtown portion of the Fishers’ Nickel Plate Trail is now open, including the pedestrian tunnel beneath 116th Street, allowing users to travel from 106th Street to 146th Street. Find ways to discover the trail below and learn more at playfishers.com/NickelPlateTrail:

Kara Hall is the Marketing and PR Manager for the City of Fishers and has been with the department since 2017. Her favorite thing to do in Fishers is checking out the local restaurants and boutiques around town and taking walks with her daughter, dog, and husband at parks #AroundFishers. Her other hobbies include listening to podcasts, watching true crime documentaries, going to concerts, reading, and cheering on the Colts on Sundays. She loves that Fishers is always changing and is constantly looking for ways to create vibrancy within the community.
