I love shopping at small businesses and knowing where I shop will make an impact locally. This year has been hard on everyone especially small businesses so it’s vitally important to support these local entrepreneurs during this holiday season. Shop Fishers is the perfect way to get to know more about these local businesses.
Kicking off on Small Business Saturday and running throughout the month of December, the City of Fishers and these amazing businesses invite you to shop and dine safely and enjoy special promotions. What a perfect way to support some amazing local businesses and save while shopping all holiday season long!
I’m going to share with you businesses from the food and drink category. There are so many wonderful small businesses in this category around the city. Whether you’re looking for food, coffeehouse, or just a sweet treat there are so many amazing options just around the corner. Here are some small businesses I hope you try!

Located in the heart of Fishers in Fishers District is this gem of a restaurant. 101 Beer Kitchen is a treat for all the senses. From the gorgeously designed interior to delicious smells that engage your senses to dream of the delicious food to come.
One thing I love about 101 Beer Kitchen is that it tastes like home cooking with a twist. With an extensive food and drink menu there is something for everyone!

The farmers’ market for our family like many others is a summer staple. If you’re sad that the season has passed, don’t be! We are so lucky the farmers’ market continues on into the fall (& beyond). To keep everyone safe during this time the Fishers Fall Farmers’ Market is completely virtual, offering a no-contact experience for shoppers. This is a perfect way to still be able to order your favorites while staying safe.

Board and You is perfect way to plan a date night in! My husband and I love creating a tasting party for two using a delicious charcuterie board from Board & You paired with wine, beer, or unique soda choices this is a fun twist on the classic tasting evening! Board and You offers a wide variety of boxes from a classic charcuterie to a crudites box perfect for any event!

Geist Coffee

With a quiet inviting vibe, a cozy cabin feel, and a very friendly staff you can’t help but feel like you just walked into a small town bustling coffee shop. With a wide variety and full menu there is something for everyone. I highly recommend the cranberry orange muffin and campfire latte! I love how Geist Coffee is keeping everyone safe by not only using their drive-thru window but encouraging customers to sit socially distanced away from the pickup area until your name is called.

Have you ever wanted a delicious shake without the guilt? Add Healthies to your must try list for their delicious and healthy smoothies! All smoothies are made with 250 calories or less. Healthies is a treat for our whole family. I love the Carmel Cookie Crunch!
Tropical Smoothie Café

With your first step into Tropical Smoothie Café the fun, relaxing atmosphere will make you feel transported to a tropical paradise. Tropical Smoothie Café has an amazing menu filled with flavorful smoothies, toasted wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, and quesadillas. All menu items are made with quality ingredients to transport your senses to paradise.
One thing I absolutely love about Tropical Smoothie is their wide variety of smoothies. Whether you’re feeling like a sweet, healthy, or classic smoothie they have one for you! I highly recommend the Acai Berry Boost smoothie.

Taylor’s Bakery

A Fishers staple right in the middle of the city is Taylor’s Bakery. Walking in your senses are flooded with all the delicious smells. From cakes to cookies and doughnuts, what’s not to love about Taylor’s? Our family loves stopping by, browsing the cases of treats, and letting the kids pick a special treat which usually is one of their ornately decorated cookies.
Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream

Another Fishers staple right in the heart of the city is Handel’s! With over 100 delectable flavors you can’t go wrong with any that you choose. My personal favorite treats are the Mint Chocolate Chip and ice cream sandwiches. Though many seek out the delicious flavors in summer, Handel’s makes for the perfect treat any time of year!
Ohana Donuts & Ice Cream

If you can dream it Ohana will create it! Ohana is a unique twist on the typical doughnut shop. Not only do they serve delectable doughnuts but also Dole Whips and ice cream. In the words of my 5-year-old it’s a kid’s paradise where they can come up with the most unique combination possible.
I love Ohana’s dining options, especially online ordering where you pick your options and pay all at once. They also offer curbside service where your deliciously created doughnuts will come directly to you.
