When I joined the Fishers Parks team, I felt honored to be given the opportunity to manage the Fishers Farmers Market at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater in downtown Fishers. This is a well-established, thriving market with more than 60 diverse vendors, free weekly entertainment and yoga, kids’ programs, special event days, and so much more. Then, when I found out Fishers Parks was adding a second farmers market to its summer lineup, I was thrilled!
The Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony will give Fishers residents a weekday opportunity to experience a more intimate, scaled-down market every Wednesday evening from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the east side of Fishers, starting June 1 and running through September 28. All of our favorite elements of the Saturday market will be mirrored at the Saxony market, with live music and fresh, homegrown products from favorite vendors as well as new ones, too, who can’t wait to share their unique products and foods with the community.
Check out this roundup of some of this year’s vendors:

Kim’s Key Lime Cookies
Kim Harvey, owner of Kim’s Key Lime Cookies, Inc., is a new vendor at the Saxony market. Kim created key lime cookies more than 27 years ago.
“I came up with the key lime cookies because I love cookies and realized there were no cookies that tasted like a key lime pie!” Kim told me.
Her most popular cookie is the Kim’s Key Lime Cookie dusted in powdered sugar—her anchor cookie. She also makes key lime cookies dipped in white chocolate, pretzels, and caramel corn. This year, she’ll also be serving up chocolate chip cookies, fudge brownies, specialty breads, and chocolates.

Michael Hamilton is an Indianapolis firefighter with a passion for barbecue. For nearly four years, he’s owned his business, Earl B Que, with his spouse Casey.
“We offer many other dishes outside of the BBQ world as well; It just so happens that BBQ is what we started out in,” Michael said.
Classic comfort foods like cornbread casserole, mac-n-cheese, beans, and other delicious sides will fill out the Earl B Que menu each week.
Brenneman Farms
Brenneman Farms is another favorite joining us this summer at Saxony markets, and owner Alvin Brenneman’s passion for his business goes back generations.
“We are a family of 10 that enjoys raising agriculture and livestock like our great grandparents did to produce meat and eggs that taste like they should, without all the unnatural inputs and housing conditions,” Alvin said.
Expect to see local all-natural beef, pork, chicken, and eggs at an affordable price at the Brenneman Farms booth this summer.
I’ve only highlighted three of the 24 amazing vendors at the Saxony market, so join us at our kickoff Saxony market on June 1 at 13578 E. 131st Street in the Saxony District to see all we have to offer. Learn more about both Fishers Farmers Markets and see a full vendor lineup at playfishers.com/FarmersMarket and follow the market on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
