Happy Shop Fishers: Summer Series!
There’s truly no better time than now to support small businesses in your community. Fishers has so many incredible small businesses to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a new restaurant to try, a fun experience for the family, decoratives for your home, or a cute boutique to check out, there’s definitely something for everyone.
With social distancing and extra safety precautions happening nationwide, it’s imperative to show support to your local small businesses whether shopping in-person or online. You’ll not only be showing your support, but also stimulating your health, happiness, and the local economy at the same time.
So today, I’m sharing my top 5 favorite small businesses here in Fishers. It was extremely difficult narrowing it down to just 5, but we’d be here all-day reading pages and pages if I could list all my favorites. These also aren’t in any particular order, just simply businesses I am currently loving at the moment with great products and services.
1. Rise’n Roll Bakery
Location | 9705 Fishers District Dr. Fishers, IN 46037
Hours | Mon.-Sat. 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Sunday)
If you haven’t been to Rise’n Roll Bakery yet, you totally need to go. It’s an Amish style bakery known for their preservative-free wholesome treats using real ingredients and baking everything fresh daily, the old-fashioned way. They have the yummiest donuts, cookies, pies, and breads along with several other delicious goods. The Cinnamon Caramel Donut and Raspberry Cream Cheese Danish are my top faves!!

2. The Well Coffeehouse
Location | 8890 E. 116th St. Fishers, IN 46038
Hours | Mon-Sun 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
This is mine and my husband’s favorite coffee shop in Fishers. It has such a relaxing, yet lively atmosphere with great coffee and friendly service. Not only do they have great coffee, but they also have a mission to make a difference around the world by giving all their profits to people in need.
When you buy a cup of coffee at The Well, you are helping to provide safe, clean drinking water to thousands of people!
3. The Humane Society of Hamilton County
Location | 1721 Pleasant St. Noblesville, IN 46060
Hours | Fri-Mon 12 p.m. – 5 p.m., Tue & Thur 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Closed Wednesday)
Although we don’t have any pets at the moment, we absolutely adore the Humane Society of Hamilton County (HSHC). A few years ago, I discovered the Hamilton East Reading Program at the library where my daughter was able to read to furry friends who are adoptable from HSHC. We also love attending Woofstock each year, which is a fundraiser event raising funds to provide life-saving medical care to animals in need.

4. Wasson Nursery
Location | 13279 E. 126th St. Fishers, IN 46037
Hours | Sun 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Mon-Sat 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wasson Nursery is such a fun place to browse, shop, and just get inspired. My favorite time to go is in the fall when they have all their pumpkins and décor perfectly displayed. They also offer landscaping, lawn care, and even have workshops where you can learn about various plants, gardening, and more.
5. Sun King Brewery
Location | 9713 District North Dr. Suite 1220 Fishers, IN 46037
Hours | Mon-Thur 3 p.m. – 10 p.m., Fri-Sat 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Sun 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sun King Fishers offers the best of both worlds. It’s a full service, family-friendly tasting room as well as a restaurant featuring food from three restaurant partners at the Fishers Test Kitchen. The atmosphere here is phenomenal and the service is always above and beyond. Whether you come for a night out with friends and family or enjoy a date night with your significant other, you won’t regret visiting Sun King Fishers.
