Q&A with Christian Cline, Manager
Q: How long have you been in business?
“99 years! Since 1921. This is our first year in Fishers.”
Q: Why did you start your business?
A: “We started as a need for the Meridian/Kessler area as an old school butcher shop. It was built out of necessity. I became involved with the business after coming back to the area from California to save for culinary school.”
Q: What products do you sell and what is your most popular product?
A: “Our ideology has been attention to quality. We have the highest-grade beef, local pork, and our chicken is from an Amish farm in Ohio. We offer gourmet, hard-to-find products, such as specialty cheeses and wines, and our most popular is their chicken breast, freshly ground beef, and filets.”
Q: What is an interesting fact about your business?
A: “We are approaching our 100th anniversary, and we also offer custom-cut meats.”
Q: What is your favorite part of the farmers market?
A: “We look forward to the exposure of this area, as well as offering products online through the market for those that aren’t able to go into our store.”
Q: What else do you want customers to know about your business?
A: “Our meats have no hormones, additives or by-products added. Also, we are new to the area and are looking forward to building a sense of community around the business. We plan to host a customer appreciation day to give back.”
