Fishers Arts Council is presenting a month-long celebration of Black History Month with an exhibit of student art work at The Art Gallery at City Hall. The exhibit features portraits of prominent black figures throughout history along with a 12-f00t long mural entitled, ‘The Future of Our Town,’ based on the ‘Tar Beach’ series of artwork by Faith Ringgold. The students are from Fall Creek Junior High School. As part of look at the colors and themes of black artists, the students also share artwork called, ‘My Virus.’ It is a personal look at how the virus impacted each of them.
