If you feel like summer has completely flown by, you are not alone! It truly feels like I blinked in May and now it’s already almost August. Around this time each year, I always notice the stores have started putting out fall items and summer is quickly slipping away. To avoid missing out on anything I want to do, I love making bucket lists.
There is so much to do in Fishers, and it isn’t all just for families, either. I’ve rounded up my ultimate end-of-summer bucket list for twenty-somethings in Fishers!
Go to Topgolf or Play a Round of Golf
I have been such a big fan of Topgolf ever since it first opened in Fishers! I remember watching it being built with so much anticipation, and it’s been so exciting to see that area grow. While I have been during the colder months (thanks to their heaters!), I’ve found it the most fun to do when the weather is nice!
The best part is that you don’t need any golf experience to play. I definitely do not have any, and I always have a great time! They even have a great food and drink menu. You can learn more about booking a bay here: https://topgolf.com/us/fishers/
If you are interested in playing a round of golf, Fishers is home to a couple of courses as well, including Grey Eagle, River Glen, and Ironwood Golf Club.

Brunch at 101 Beer Kitchen
101 Beer Kitchen is one of my new favorite spots in Fishers! I’ve been here for dinner quite a few times, but I recently went for brunch and was very impressed. They have a great menu of delicious food, cocktails, and an extensive selection of craft beer. If you enjoy eating outside, they have a great covered patio space! I highly recommend trying their seasonal Peach Skillet Pancake paired with the Peachy Keen cocktail.
You can check out their full menu and make reservations here: https://www.101beerkitchen.com/fishers-indiana
Attend a Movie at the Park
Pack up some snacks and blankets because nothing beats watching a movie under the stars! Various parks throughout Fishers are hosting movie nights during the summer. This is such a fun idea that would make a great date night, or even make a lasting memory for the whole family. The movies are free and shown with closed captioning.
Upcoming Movies:
Family Night: Sonic the Hedgehog
9 to 11 p.m.
Saturday, July 31
Adult Night: Tenant
8 to 11 p.m.
Saturday, September 10

Grab Drinks at Sun King’s Patio
The new Sun King location at Fishers District has such an awesome patio! Or should I say patios? They have an outdoor patio on the ground level (it’s pet-friendly!) and a rooftop outdoor patio too! This is the perfect spot to grab drinks with a group of friends because there is something for everyone with all the food court style restaurant options available to choose from.

Boating on Geist
It’s not summer in the Midwest without a visit to the lake. You don’t even have to own a boat to enjoy the lake life at Geist because their marina offers pontoon rentals! I have had this on my summer bucket list for way too long and definitely plan to do this soon.

Enjoy a Frozen Treat
Whenever I think of summertime, ice cream always comes to mind! There are a ton of great spots around Fishers where you can enjoy a frozen treat during the hot summer months. Some of my favorites are the new Nicey Treat at Fishers District and Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. Most of these spots have outdoor seating available to take a break from shopping or running errands to enjoy your dessert. You could even make a date night out of it!
Shop at the Farmers Market
The Fishers Farmers’ Market is a summertime must! It runs from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through September 25. You can pick up a variety of local goods like fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and more. It’s even ranked as one of the top markets in the region!

Relax at Saxony Beach
This one is actually the top choice on my personal bucket list! Saxony Beach is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It’s so awesome that we have a beach right here in Fishers. You can pack a cooler full of snacks and head there for a day of fun in the sun!
Admission is free for Fishers residents and $5 for non-residents. For more information, visit: https://www.playfishers.com/Facilities/Facility/Details/Saxony-Beach-1
Sierra Sieracki has been a Fishers resident for nearly 20 years and currently lives in the Geist area. She is a food, drink, and travel blogger and loves to travel and check out the best local spots. You can find her around Fishers checking out all the new breweries, bars, and restaurants that have opened in recent years with her husband and two dogs named Luke and Leia. She loved growing up here and going to school here, and she really enjoys watching how much it has grown into the city it is today. Follow her on Instagram, Facebook, and check out her website.
