CPRG Preliminary Plan and Inventory
On March 1, 2024, CIRDA submitted its Preliminary Climate Action Plan (PCAP) to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The Plan includes meaningful programs and strategic action to reduce greenhouse gasses and create healthier communities throughout Central-Indiana. The Plan was created with a $1M planning grant from the EPA as part of the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants program. A copy of Central-Indiana’s Plan is available here.
READI 2.0
On April 11, 2024, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation awarded CIRDA $45 Million through the IEDC’s READI 2.0 Program. The award was the highest amount awarded to any region within the state. After scoring more than 120 projects submitted for the READI funding, CIRDA’s Board voted to propose a total of 21 projects throughout the region for READI and LEI funding.
