With nearly 2 miles of nature and multi-use trails, the park is a favorite spot among local hikers, nature enthusiasts, and birdwatchers. A grassland corridor runs along the Cheeney Creek Greenway and is the perfect place to unplug with a scenic hike in nature. The soft surface woodland trail runs along the banks of Cheeney Creek throughout the park and boasts some of the largest trees in Fishers.
Looking for a relaxing day on the water? Bring your fishing pole and cast a line at one of the three designated fishing areas within the park, including a 3-acre pond stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish (a state of Indiana fishing license is required).
Nature lovers will delight in this park dedicated to preserving wildlife and its natural habitat. Birders headed out early in the morning can hear both songbirds and waterbirds, and the woodland areas are known for abundant wildlife sightings, including deer, squirrels, and more. Various aquatic species also thrive along the park’s creek and beautiful bodies of water.
