Beam Signing
Be a part of history by signing your name to the beam that will be installed at the new Fishers City & Arts Center! Beam signing is just north of the construction site at 1 Municipal Drive. The beam will only be out for the first week of April before it will need to be installed, so don’t miss your chance to be part of Fishers’ next chapter!
Mayor’s Youth Academy Applications Open
In partnership with the City of Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern Schools, and the Eman schools, the Mayor’s Youth Academy offers the opportunity to build community awareness, provide hands-on learning opportunities that enhance curriculum, and inspire future careers in the public sector. Registration for the Fishers Mayor’s Youth Academy will open at 7am on April 10th and stay open through August 18th.
The Fishers Mayor’s Youth Academy is a year-long experience provided by the City of Fishers for high school juniors and seniors that live in and or attend school in Fishers with a GPA of at least 3.0 to be eligible for the program. For more information please click here.
Allisonville Road Corridor
The City of Fishers has announced findings from the Allisonville Road Corridor Study and our plan for revitalizing the corridor. Plans include road and walkability improvements, enhanced greenspace, and new development. As part of the plan, Kroger will relocate from the west side of Allisonville Road near the 116th Street intersection to build a new, expanded store on the east side of Allisonville Road. Fishers SmartPass
The Fishers SmartPass will give residents access to Fishers amenities like the Geist Waterfront Park. The new park will require SmartPass access to enter, so register today at fishers.in.us/SmartPass.
The Geist Waterfront Park is a 70-acre waterfront property located at 10811 Olio Road, near 111th Street and the east side of Olio Road. To learn more about the park, please click here.

Summer Concerts at the NPD AMP
Fishers Park’s Free Tuesdays concert series, presented by IU Health, returns in June and July. See the lineup at npdamp.com.

The Race You Love is Back!
Be a part of this year’s extra special Geist Half Marathon and 5k on Saturday, September 16. The race will feature the 13.1-mile race in addition to a 5-kilometer race, with optional VIP registration and volunteer opportunities.

Save the Date for Spark!Fishers
The weeklong celebration features concerts on Tuesday and Friday nights, a 5K fun run/walk on Wednesday evening, a Car & Art Show on Thursday, and a Street Festival with live music, family activities, a parade and aerial show on Saturday. Storywalk
This spring, Fishers Parks’ self-guided Storywalk hike in the Cheeney Creek Natural Area (11030 Fishers Pointe Blvd) features Have You Ever Seen a Flower? by Shawn Harris for April and The Rabbit Listened by Cori Doerrfeld in May. Fishers Sesquincentennial Trail
The City continues its 150th birthday celebration this spring with a self-guided tour of Fishers’ history, culture, and community favorites on the Fishers Sesquicentennial Trail. During your Spring Break staycation, pick up a trail passport from various locations around the city and begin checking off destinations as you explore. Enjoy the spring flowers at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve, soak up the sunshine with a stroll along the Nickel Plate Trail, and cap off your adventure with a sweet treat at Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. Free Yoga Classes
Currently on free Wednesdays, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Billericay Park. Fishers Parks is expanding its free yoga program with opportunities throughout the week at Billericay Park. No Registration is required for any session. Learn more at playfishers.com.

Kara Hall is the Marketing and PR Manager for the City of Fishers and has been with the department since 2017. Her favorite thing to do in Fishers is checking out the local restaurants and boutiques around town and taking walks with her daughter, dog, and husband at parks #AroundFishers. Her other hobbies include listening to podcasts, watching true crime documentaries, going to concerts, reading, and cheering on the Colts on Sundays. She loves that Fishers is always changing and is constantly looking for ways to create vibrancy within the community.
